Primero para escuchar DD75 ve justo al minuto7:26 en adelante.
Es bastante dificil, no solo por la velocidad sino por los términos empleados. Este es un claro ejemplo de pronunciación - comprensión auditiva y cultura - vocabulario. Esos dos bloques constituyen lo más importante a la hora de dominar el ingles:

1. Pronunciación - Comprensión auditiva
2. Cultura - Vocabulario: 12k, 5k, Kid Dash...

DD 50 es un tanto especial por dos motivos; Es acento inglés y no algo complejo. Pero para eso estamos aquí, ¿no?

Personalmente NO SOPORTO el acento inglés, pero es bueno escuchar diferentes acentos. Coach Shane se centra en inglés de EEUU. Incluso en EEUU todos los acentos no son iguales. Lo importante es que aprendamos a dominar el brillante método de cancelaciones y conexiones de Coach Shane. Una vez más con eso y PRACTICA, mucha práctica se torna cada vez más y más fácil.

 

La historia es un chaval de... quizas... no se 8 años que ha decidido dejar la casa de sus padres para irse a ¡América! !Vaya coincidencia! ese chaval y yo tenemos el mismo gusto.

 

 



 

 

 

DD 50 is kinda special for two reasons. It's English accent and the dialog has an expression you might not know yet.  That's why we are here, right?

Personally I can't just stand the English accent, that's one man's opinion and it's good for us expose ourselves to different sounds once in a while. Coach Shane focuses on American English. Now even within USA you get different sounds. The bottom line here is that we manage to MASTER the brilliant Coach Shane's method. Once we get it down, we must practice A LOT, then it becomes easier and easier.

The story is about an English kid that decides to leave home and go to America! because it's growing on him. What a coincidence! we have the same taste!

¿Cuando saber si algo es demasiado caro o el agua del mar esta demasiado fria o alguien habla demasiado o la comida esta demasiado salada? Todas esas cuestiones son, normalmente, subjetivas, pero hay un punto en el que se llega cerca del límite pero ni se alcanza ni se sobrepasa. Llegados a ese punto la situación es ''a little too much''

 

 

 

 



 

 

Entonces llega la gota que colma y llegamos al límite y se torna insoportable es el momento para ''all too much''

 

 



 

 

 



 

Y qué tal si te encuentras con ''way/far too much'' hay una ligera diferencia con ''all too much''

Sigue su consejo y busca en google y despues clickea ''news'' eso te dara la idea de como se usa en situaciones diarias y reales.   

 

 

When to know if something is TOO expensive or the ocean is TOO cold or someone talks TOO much or food is TOO salty? The answer to those questions are usually subjective, I mean, it depends on the person, right? This is like when you get close to the threshold but still don't hit the limit. At that point you think of 'a little too much'

 

 

 

 

And then... you know that last straw that breaks the camel's back... and then we hit the limit turning out unbearable, you can't just take it anymore! Then think of 'All too much'

Estar pasando por un bache




¿Has pasado alguna vez por un bache en tu vida? Seguro que sí. ¿Quién no?  ¿Verdad?  Coach Shane nos trae una expression de utilidad y añade una estupenda explicación.

 Bueno, tal vez si hubieses ahorrado algo de dinero PARA LAS VACAS FLACAS= SAVE IT FOR A RAINY DAY no estarías pasando por el mal bache... Bueno, pero tambien es cierto que pasar por un bache no tiene por que estar relacionado con malgastar dinero, ¿no?

Strange sounds you had better know

As I said before, Coach Shane is a domain expert on pronunciation (AE style) which is the most important end of things when it comes to English. Believe it or not native speakers appreciate your pronunciation a lot whereas they actually don't care about your grammar being perfect or not.
As your pronunciation is good your listening improves, and even if you make grammar mistakes, your pronunciation will make up for those by far.
Listen carefully to these odd sounds and bear in mind that you might stumble upon them at any time. At that point  we will all be prepared. Coach Shane gets us ready for the real deal... idn't it great!?

Hola, soy un miembro DDM (Daily Dictation Members) y me gustaría recomendar los videos y explicaciones de Coach Shane. Son muy útiles. Lo descubrí el año pasado más o menos por casualidad porque leo que es muy importante aprender inglés haciendo dictados, asi que lo intenté y me di cuenta que mi comprensión auditiva dejaba bastante que desear. Hasta ahora me enseñaron en España. Entonces comencé a aprender nuevos sonidos para mí, por supuesto, vocabulario y... ¡sorpresa! empecé, con el paso del tiempo, a entender las historias aunque no cada palabra pero al menos puedo entender el punto esencial de la misma. ¡Fue increible¡ Pero tengo que estudiar bastante, dia a dia, escuchar sus archivos mp3, podcasts... ¿Lo mejor de todo? Que puedo hacerlo en cualquier momento porque puedo adaptarlo a mi horario.

Requiere tiempo y esfuerzo. Yo aun estoy en ello, pero merece la pena.

Una de las cosas más difíciles para mí es la pronunciación de ciertas letras que son complicadas para la gente de habla hispana, por ejemplo V y B  que en inglés son muy diferentes,  pero en español no lo son tanto, de hecho suenan prácticamente igual. Ellos pueden diferenciar si tu pronuncias V o B pero nosotros no. Asi que tuve que aprender a pronunciar esos sonidos como lo haría un nativo.
Otro ejemplo importante es la Y que debe sonar aproximadamente como nuestra I : ''yellow'' - iellou -  en lugar de - llelou -. La W en wood jamás suena como nuestro gu y en window suena como nuestra ''ui'' - uiondou -

Hello, I'm a Coach Shane's DDM (Daily Dictation Members)
and I would like to recommend his videos and explanations, for me they are really useful. I came across Coach Shane, I think last year, because I read that it is very important to learn English through dictations, so I tried them out and I realized for the first time that I didn't have English listening skills. I was taught in Spain up to that point. Then I started to learn new sounds for me, of course, new vocabulary and... surprise! as time went by I started to understand the stories, not every single word, but at least I'm able to get the gist. It was amazing. But I must study very hard, day by day, listening to his mp3 files and podcasts too.
The best part? I can do it at any time since it suits my own schedule.

It takes both time and effort. It is a long process, I am still on it, yet it is worthwhile.

For me one of the most difficult things are the pronunciation of certain sounds that Spanish people don't distinguish, for example, the V and B sounds in English are totally different. In Spanish they are not that different, in fact almost the same. they can hear if you pronounce V or B, although we can't do it. So I had to learn how to pronounce the different sounds like a native would do. Another important example is  Y that must sound  kind of like a Spanish I instead of a Spanish LL, and W in wood that never sounds like a Spanish ''gu'' and in window which sounds kind of like a Spanish ''ui''
